Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - the book is perfect! and the service received from Amazon is the best!
I was a little worried about the deliver in my country, Mexico. I sent an email to support and they answered me really quickly and really helped me. I received the book before the date they told me, the item is perfect!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nice Novelty Item
The Tales of Beedle The Bard feature in the Harry Potter books, being an important part of the plot in the last book with The Tale of 3 Brothers. This book is that collection of short stories, they are fairytales for witches and wizards, the same as Sleeping Beauty and suchlike are fairytales for muggle children.

They are however much shorter than our muggle stories. If you imagine Aesops Fables and remove most of the animals and insert lots more excitement, magic and in some cases mild gory detail then you have the tales of beedle the bard. They all teach a lesson and have morals, which is explained/analyzed in notes made by Dumbledore, after each tale. These can be read straight after reading tale or left for another time. He is speaking to magical people so there are also notes on Dumbledores notes by JKRowling. Its not as confusing as it sounds.

Dumbledores notes are very interesting and tell the reader more about the extensive wizarding world so it seems so real, with him refering to historical events and how the stories have been changed over the centuries and why... (these versions are translated from the original runes by Hermione Granger).

These tales are what I was itching to know more about as I read the book, I was enthralled by the 3 brothers tale, and they don't disappoint.

This is not a 'book' or a 'novel' in the typical sense of the word, it is a short novelty item giving us the tales that the wizarding children grew up with. In all it contains 5 tales, including The Wizard and the Hopping Pot and Babbity Rabbity and her Cackling Stump, which in particular I always wondered about.

I read the book in one sitting along with the comments after, but have often got it out and read the tales over again, they are just as enjoyable each time.

I feel they are suitable to be read to very young children but I think they've been written for adults, people who've grown up with the books but most of all people for who the Harry Potter world is real and comes more to life each time they read something connected to it, so you're not a muggle looking in but a witch or wizard in the centre of it.

Hope this helps you buy this book.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Another Harry Potter fan
I read all the books by J.K. Rowling! I think the short storie's books like this one are a good complement to Harry Potter's books!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH
Very dissapointed with this book....I expected some magical short tales from JK after experiencing her wonderful imagination in her Harry Potter books. Instead I found it boring and a load of nonsense I wished i had never bought it. What a waste of money.
